CYP Scotland, recently renamed from
The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of Scotland, has been in the forefront of
youth work since it's formation in 1928. The
organisation is now more than ever committed to providing young
people with the necessary opportunities, support, skills and
positive role models to enable them to become healthy and confident
adults.
Our member clubs
operate in most geographical areas across Scotland, ranging from the
most deprived urban areas to the remotest part of the western isles.
Our membership is constantly increasing (we currently work with 20,000
young people each year), bringing new challenges but also new
opportunities to work in partnership with young people to improve
their quality of life.
The vast majority of
our club leaders are unpaid - they give freely of their time in the
evenings and weekends to ensure that young people are given the chance
to fulfil their potential in a structured and safe environment. |
